Navigator is pleased to announce it has entered into an agreement to acquire a 4.5% strategic minority ownership interest and a preferred economic interest in Georgian and its affiliates, a Canada-based growth equity firm specialising in AI-driven B2B technology investment.
Navigator’s USD 100 million investment comprises USD 5million due at closing, funded from existing financial resources, plus USD 95million deferred over three years expected to be funded from operating cashflows.
All transaction proceeds will be deployed by Georgian to fund future growth initiatives.
An Experienced AI Pioneer, With Differentiated Expertise
Founded in 2008 by three software entrepreneurs, Georgian has grown into a scaled and differentiated force in growth equity, managing USD5.9 billion in assets under management as of 31 December 2025. Now investing from its sixth flagship Growth Fund, the firm has made over 80 investments and completed 30 exits.
A compelling feature that sets Georgian apart is its in-house AI Lab – a team of 20+ engineers and data scientists who conduct technical diligence and embed directly with portfolio companies post-investment to support production AI deployment.
This hands-on capability, combined with a team that spans investors, software entrepreneurs and experienced operators, positions Georgian as a genuinely differentiated participant across the AI technology stack – from infrastructure and applications to cybersecurity and developer tools.

Consistency with Navigator's Partnership Approach
In line with Navigator's established approach across its portfolio of Partner Firms, the investment will have no impact on Georgian's day-to-day management, operations, or investment decision-making processes.
